The Oak Island Tourism Society directors met Thursday, November 17, 2005 at 421 Middle River Road with four directors in attendance.
Minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
Updated financial information as of September 2005 was presented by the treasurer.
Danny Hennigar reported on the meeting with the Lighthouse Publishing representative. He presented four logo drawings; prepared by the publishing group; and over view on the progress of the media package and CD.
Robert Dunfield II submitted a new drawing for the second edition of the O.I.T.S. medallion. A motion to accept and have two hundred medallions struck was tabled by Carol Nauss. The motion was second by Danny Hennigar. The motion passed with all in favor.
Carol Nauss gave a detailed break down of the website stats.
Danny Hennigar made a motion to pay the extra monies; approximately $6.00 per month; for extra space on the domain site to enable our site to hold more Oak Island related pictures. The motion was second by Carol Nauss. The motion passed with all in favor.
Fund-raising ideas were discussed. Three members have expressed an interest in co-coordinating a pirate/weekend. A meeting will be arranged to discuss general ideas and preparations needed to have this idea come to fruition.
